![]() ![]() I have verified this with your support team and if anyone is interested check the Sonos Community site there are many many frustrated Sonos customers. Now to top it off you have released a new app release that has caused an “updating” problem on every users app that has a Sonos Boost. Your product is sold as a premium product, it comes with a premium price tag but the whole package is just not working. I’d like to say this to the Sonos Team and marketing team, all I want to do is open my phone and play music but instead I am faced with all of this. ![]() The support team I found to be of no help to me at all, all they do is blame your local network and want you to make invasive changes to your router which in my case would have brought my whole network down including my home security network and when I said no to this they point blank refused to help me, not thinking for a minute maybe its your system not mine that has issues. The app crashes, is frustrating to use, and poorly thought out. ![]() So many options, so confusing and none of it explained well at all, if your looking at buying this can you do any of this? The app is another nightmare of its own, constantly not being able to find my system, wasting more time restarting and reconfiguring. There is then setting up fixed IP addresses in your router. Otherwise plug them all into Ethernet connections if your house is wired for this. This is not a simple plug and play system, you can try and use Wi-Fi, you can use Sonosnet with a Sonos boost or if you have a speaker close enough to your router you can plug one of them into an Ethernet port which will act like a Boost and create the Sonosnet network. I then opted to buy the SONOS Boost to help with connectivity as this device creates its own network called Sonosnet, this did solve my issues with the speakers dropping out but it meant I had to spend more money on an already expensive system. The speakers are sold as being able to connect using Wi-Fi which you can but they don’t stay connected. Read more g them to WI-FI (and yes my speakers have proper Wi-Fi coverage). BUT this is where it ends, it’s great when it works !! Connectivity using Wi-Fi is shocking, speakers drop out, you spend hours on end constantly restarting speakers reconnectin. The speakers are nicely made and come packaged really well. I recently added the Port so I can now play vinyl too anywhere I like. Music is great too I have speakers throughout the house, I love being able to play music through the house in different rooms. We've updated the review to say that the Arc full setup is 5.1.2.I would like to start off buy saying the sound is amazing especially watching ATMOS movies with surround sound. The Dynamics tests have been reconducted due to a value input bug. Updated 5.1 PCM (eARC only) to 'Yes' after updating the bar's firmware. Updated latency measurements with new methodology. ![]() Updated results since this setup now features a height level adjustment feature, following the 13.1.2 firmware update. Since we don't factor this into our scoring, there were no changes to the Height (Atmos) score. We added our subjective impressions of the bar's soundstage with Atmos content. Added additional information to 'Stereo Frequency Response' but no changes to test results. Updated the bar to firmware version 14.12. The 'Stereo Dynamics' and 'Stereo Total Harmonic Distortion' scores improved, as well as the overall usage scores. Noticed an improvement in bass reproduction, which improved the 'Stereo Frequency Response' score. Retested the bar's sound with firmware version 14.16. Retested the bar's sound with firmware version 14.18. With this update, we've added a Mounting test and added information about Subwoofer Output, Spotify Connect, and Microphone Mute.Īdded the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) with Sub Mini + One SL Speakers as a market comparison in the Dimensions - Bar box. ![]()
